Priscilla, Queen of the Jungle, we called her -- and she was a black/gray/white striped tabbyish cat, too. Maybe it is the coloring?

Miss that cat every day; what a lover she was.....Pamnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8451264862965215307.post-24601360750278077372009-09-21T09:29:12.156-04:002009-09-21T09:29:12.156-04:00I'm a glowing, proud Aunt. http:...We too have an enormous black and white cat:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/gimbler/3936196894/

I have a theory, as these types of cats are often overweight, even in households with other normal size cats. I think their metabolisms are extremely sluggish, maybe their coloration makes them lousy hunters. I imagine a black and white cat having a hard time securing a meal in the wild. I got nothing to base it on - just my own musings.

Good luck with the diet plans. We got ours down from 28 pounds to 24 but couldn't get her any lower. The lengths we went to to keep food away from her while providing sustenance to our other pets just became too ridiculous to keep up. So the little fatty won.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
