Nice photoshoppery. Took me a minute to figure out what was different between the two.
Is this the dining room? If you're actually installing this thing where there was none before, I'd go chair rail or plate rail. I like the aesthetics of that height better.
I envy you, to be actually thinking about such things. In my own renovation, my thought process is more like, what should I do first? Put a functioning front door on my house, or fix the massive roof leak in the rear addition that should be condemned?
